The protocols we match against

A quiet menu of well-chosen options

We don't run every modality on the market. Each of these is here because it consistently delivers for a specific skin goal.

01

Custom medical facial

Diagnostic + treatment in one visit. Cleansing, enzymes, light extractions, LED, and product layering tuned to your skin that day. Best foundation for most patients.

02

Chemical peels

VI Peel, SkinMedica Vitalize, and lactic-only options for sensitive skin. Targets dullness, sun damage, and surface pigment with minimal social downtime.

03

Microneedling + serum

SkinPen with growth-factor or PRP. Best for texture, fine lines, and shallow acne scars. Series of 3 spaced 4–6 weeks apart.

04

Dermaplaning + glow

Mechanical exfoliation paired with a gentle enzyme. Quick reset for makeup-perfect skin before an event — no downtime.

05

Pigment-specific protocols

Cosmelan, melasma-safe peels, and prescription Tri-Luma supervised by an MD. The matcher routes you here if pigment is your primary concern.

06

Prescription home routine

Sometimes the best in-clinic answer is a great at-home plan. Tretinoin, azelaic acid, and SPF — supervised, refilled, adjusted.

The Matcher

Skin Rejuvenation Treatment Matcher

Six questions, one custom protocol, and an honest answer about how long it takes to see the change you want.

Educational, not medical advice. Skin protocols vary by individual and depend on Fitzpatrick type, current home routine, medications, and provider assessment. Aurora Aesthetics will confirm the right approach during your consultation. Results vary and are not guaranteed.

Skin Rejuvenation FAQs · Austin

What Austin patients ask before their first visit

What's the difference between a chemical peel and microneedling?

Chemical peels resurface the top layers of skin to address tone, dullness, and superficial pigment. Microneedling creates microscopic channels that trigger collagen — better for texture, scars, and laxity. Many patients alternate the two over a year for compounding results, and the matcher above will tell you which to start with.

How often should I get a medical facial?

Most patients see best results with a medical-grade facial every 4–6 weeks, matching the skin's natural turnover cycle. We'll recommend a cadence in your matcher result based on goals, current routine, and how much downtime you can tolerate.

Will skin rejuvenation work for melasma?

Melasma needs careful, gentle treatment — aggressive resurfacing can worsen pigment. Our melasma-safe protocols use VI Peel, Cosmelan, and supervised prescription topicals. If the matcher detects melasma as a concern, it routes you to those routines specifically.

Is this safe during pregnancy or nursing?

Yes — we offer pregnancy-safe facials, dermaplaning, lactic peels, and product swaps. Retinoids, hydroquinone, and salicylic acid are paused. Tell us in the matcher and we'll send the pregnancy-safe track.

Can I do this between Botox or filler appointments?

Absolutely — and many of our Austin patients do. We typically schedule peels and microneedling at least two weeks before or after injectables to keep results predictable.

What does it cost?

Custom medical facials start at $185, peels from $200, and microneedling series from $1,050 for three sessions. Membership pricing reduces ongoing visits ~20%. Your matcher email includes specific pricing for the protocol you matched into.

Stop guessing which facial is "the right one"

Take the matcher — a licensed Aurora esthetician will personally review your result and send a 90-day skin plan within one business day.
