The questions our Austin patients actually ask
How much does Botox cost in Austin?
Most Austin-area providers charge $12–$16 per unit. Treating the forehead and frown lines together typically requires 30–50 units, putting a first session in the $400–$700 range. Aurora Aesthetics confirms a per-area estimate before any injection so there are no surprises at checkout.
How long does Botox last?
Most patients see results last 3–4 months. The first treatment may wear off slightly faster; with consistent quarterly visits, results often stretch to 4 months as muscle activity decreases over time. We'll suggest a re-treatment cadence based on how your muscles respond.
What is the right age to start Botox?
There is no single correct age. Many patients start preventatively in their late 20s or early 30s once they notice expression lines that linger at rest. A licensed provider will evaluate your skin and muscle activity rather than your age — the quiz above is a starting point for that conversation.
Is there downtime?
Botox itself has no real downtime — most patients return to work the same afternoon. We recommend avoiding strenuous exercise, alcohol, and lying flat for the first 4 hours, and minor pinpoint redness can persist for an hour or two.
What's the difference between Botox, Dysport, and Daxxify?
All three are neuromodulators that relax targeted muscles. Dysport tends to spread slightly more, which can help with broad forehead treatment. Daxxify lasts longer (up to 6 months for some patients). We carry all three and recommend based on the area being treated and your past response — never on price alone.
